EHP disease training
With a commitment to maintaining sustainability and quality in Penaeus vannamei shrimp farming, INVE Aquaculture partnered with DELOS to conduct training on EHP (Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei) disease to enhance the skills of the DELOS team in dealing with potential disease challenges during shrimp farming.

With seven workshops over five days, our technical support experts thoroughly covered all aspects of EHP disease, including the characteristics and symptoms of the disease and how to detect EHP. The training focuses on early recognition and preventive measures, which are critical to addressing this disease before it spreads to the entire shrimp population. EHP seriously impacts aquaculture productivity, causing a significant reduction in growth, a rise in production costs, and a shrimp harvest that can be highly variable in size – all resulting in loss to farmers.

During the training, participants were taught lab techniques to identify and confirm the presence of EHP in shrimp samples to be more accurate in promptly taking correct preventive actions.

Fish hatchery seminar
INVE Aquaculture’s activities in developing the marine fish segment stretch back decades. Today, we are still closely involved and very much dedicated to sharing our experience by spreading knowledge of practices, techniques, and technologies for broodstock, larval rearing, and nursery phases of marine fish culture.

In a seminar organized by INVE for fish farmers, there was a focus on best practices best practices for the hatchery phase of grouper and Asian seabass (barramundi). As high-quality live feed is a crucial aspect of marine fish larval rearing, much attention was given to the SEP-Art technology and tools that allow for easy separation of Artemia nauplii from cysts and to the enrichment of rotifers and Artemia to enhance nutritional value. Other important topics discussed were dry diets and biosecurity in live feed preparation and during larval rearing.

Besides knowledge sharing, the seminar allowed attendees to get close to INVE’s portfolio to see and feel the products and technologies. In preparation and during this seminar, INVE Aquaculture was supported by the team of BRIN Gondol.
