Job Purpose

  • This role reports directly to the Directors of Innovation and Customer Support & Services for INVE, and will:
    • Be responsible for setting up, managing, and executing collaborative activities with INVE’s international partner in Singapore
    • Be part of the Customer Support & Services team, making sure global segment specifics are translated into the workflow and shared knowledge centre of this team
    • Introducing application standards for specialized products, tools & protocols and/or specialized services at INVE
    • Play a strategic role in defining how customers can optimise their bottom-line innovative solutions and Best Practice guidance

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management on collaboration with international partner
    • Act as the primary contact of INVE in setting up and executing a collaboration on “Development of a Hatchery Technology Centre for tropical marine species” with INVE’s international partner in Singapore
    • Be responsible for the execution of collaborative activities, falling under the categories:
      • Showcasing of the latest hatchery technologies to produce tropical marine species
      • Execution of approved collaborative research projects on marine species larviculture
      • Organising and coordinating training and demonstration on Artemia, live feed, and fish hatchery technologies and protocols to internal and external stakeholders
    • For the activities given above:
      • Design, plan, and arrange the availability and best use of required resources (budget, people, equipment, and infrastructure) in line with set priorities
      • Contribute hands-on where required and possible to the efficient, timely and correct execution according to set goals, deliverables, and timelines
  • Global Technical Support
    • Generate valuable insights into producer behaviour and needs through collection and interpretation of intelligence and data collected from producer interactions (by Regional Technical Support, Regional Sales, Product Managers…)
    • Ensure that insights and knowledge are transferred efficiently and effectively to the rest of the INVE organisation
    • Enable and guide Regional Technical Support (RTS) profiles to support producers improving their business performance by optimizing their use of products and protocols, based on in-depth product knowledge and segment-specific understanding:
      • analysing producer needs and formulating an answer to those needs
      • advising regarding set-up and follow-up of trials and demos
      • introducing protocol optimisation and best practices
      • training on application knowledge
    • Give input to ensure tailor-made technical support to identified producers
    • Collects details on RTS’ follow-up and aftercare of concluded technical support to shape regional segment-specifics into a global picture
  • Technical services and support
    • Organise and execute technically oriented workshops, webinars, seminars and conference speeches, and guide RTS for doing the same in their regions
    • Provide subject matter expertise to colleagues, collaborators and producers
    • Act as an escalation point for technical segment-specific questions and problems and innovative opportunities
  • Improve aquaculture knowledge
    • Gather global market intelligence (trends, competitive intelligence) and share through the right channels within the organisation
    • Provide feedback and input for product development efforts to increase the performance of production globally
    • Work collaboratively with other Benchmark Business Areas to act as one company towards the industry
    • Work collaboratively with all other teams of the organisation to ensure effective knowledge sharing, data collection and analysis and, ultimately, strong decision-making

Qualifications and experience

  • Fluency in English – excellent written and verbal communication skills. Other languages are an asset
  • +10 years proven relevant and successful hands-on experience in the tropical marine fish industry, with emphasis on nutrition expertise in the Hatchery, Nursery and Grow-Out segment
  • +5 years of R&D experience
  • Demonstrable project/time management skills
  • Extensive internal and external training experience
  • Experience of working to KPIs and implementing/measuring goals to drive continuous improvement
  • Experience in an international commercial environment, working in a matrixed organisation
  • Good knowledge of platforms, tools and systems including MS Office, CRM
