PT Suri Tani Pemuka, Indonesia (1)
Benefiting from its situation as a vast archipelago of islands with a stable coastal water temperature of 26°C, Indonesia has established itself as one of the largest shrimp producing countries in Asia. One of the biggest (and one of the few fully integrated) shrimp operators in Indonesia is PT Suri Tani Pemuka, the aquaculture subsidiary of the Japfa Comfeed company.
PTSTP has built or renovated all of its hatcheries on the islands to fit the company’s operational standards. All variable factors such as water temperature and salinity, feed formulations and protocols are optimized and stardardized in order to improve culture performance.
Consistent processes and nutrition protocols in the hatchery lead to better results in the grow-out stages.
To ensure the continuous supply of quality fry to the farm infrastructure, PSTP has set up 6 hatchery sites on different locations in Indonesia.
200 million fry
With production capacities varying from 30 up to 70 million PL per month in each hatchery, PTSTP’s total fry production exceeds 200 milion per month.
1,000 ha of farm ponds
Located on the pristine coastal waters of Indonesia, PTSTP operates 1,000 hectares of shrimp farms in East Java and South Kalimantan.
